IPTV on Android phone and tablet: how to install Xtreme IPTV

Use the same credentials as on your TV, this time on the device you carry around. Keep in mind that only one screen can play at once.

What you need first

  • Your login details, which we email as soon as the order is confirmed: an M3U link, or a server address plus a username and password.
  • An internet connection on the device you plan to watch on.
  • A measured speed on that device of about 15 Mbps for Full HD, or 25 Mbps for 4K.

It is the same listing as on the TV, and that helps for a practical reason: a phone has a keyboard. Enter the server address here first and check that it loads, and you will know your credentials are correct before you take on a d-pad on the television.

More than 5 million downloads, rated 4.2 stars from about 8,360 ratings, most recently updated 22 June 2026. Last checked 4 October 2026.

It was built for a remote, so on a phone the controls are sized for a cursor you do not have: it works, but it never feels at home there. If the phone will be your main screen and not just a typing tool, tell support and we will suggest something designed for a thumb. Published by Armobsoft FZE, which has no connection to us.

None of these apps are ours, and their developers pay us nothing. Your subscription runs in any player that accepts an M3U link or an Xtream Codes login; we suggest this one only because it performs best on this device in our experience.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 1

Get a player from the Play Store

Look up an IPTV player and install it. Players made for a television run on a phone but feel cramped, so ask support which one we recommend for a touchscreen.

  2. 2

Launch it and add your service

On the first screen you can choose a playlist or an Xtream Codes login.

  3. 3

Sign in — and let the keyboard help

Here a phone beats any television. Instead of retyping the server address, paste it from the email, long-press the field to make sure all of it pasted, and check the port is still there. None of that is possible with a d-pad, which is why most empty channel lists start on a TV remote.

  4. 4

    Press play

The channel list loads, followed by the guide. On mobile data, expect HD rather than 4K unless your signal is strong. It also uses your one stream, so the television cannot play at the same time.

Where most installs go wrong

Starting playback on the phone while the TV is already playing. A subscription allows one stream at a time, so the second device just will not start — and the message it shows usually blames the stream instead of giving the real reason.

Android phone and tablet questions

Can the phone and the TV play at the same time?
Not with one subscription, since playback is limited to one stream at a time. If you need two screens watching together, contact support about an extra connection.
How much data will it use?
About 1 to 1.5 GB per hour in Full HD, and more in 4K. If your plan is metered, lower the quality in the app.
Can I cast it to my TV?
That depends on the player: some support Chromecast and some do not. Casting re-encodes the stream, so it usually looks worse than a player installed on the TV.

Need a hand?

Our team is available at any hour. On the 6-month plan and longer, we go through the installation with you on your own device instead of just sending written steps.
