IPTV on Samsung Smart TV: how to install Xtreme IPTV
Samsung televisions use Tizen rather than Android, so the method changes: you install the app from Samsung’s own store and register your playlist to the TV itself.

What you need first
- Your login details, which we email as soon as the order is confirmed: an M3U link, or a server address plus a username and password.
- An internet connection on the device you plan to watch on.
- A measured speed on that device of about 15 Mbps for Full HD, or 25 Mbps for 4K.
Recommended player app
Smart IPTVby siptv.app · Samsung Apps, on the television
Of the Tizen apps, this is the one we see working most reliably, and it still receives updates — something that counts for more on a TV app store than anywhere else.
Version 3.1.3, for Samsung Tizen 6.5+ televisions (2022 models and newer), came out on 29 July 2026. Last checked 4 October 2026.
Its developer charges a small one-time activation fee, paid to them directly. It is not part of your subscription, and none of it comes to us.
None of these apps are ours, and their developers pay us nothing. Your subscription runs in any player that accepts an M3U link or an Xtream Codes login; we suggest this one only because it performs best on this device in our experience.
Step-by-step instructions
- 1
Get the app on the TV
From the TV home screen, open Samsung Apps, search for Smart IPTV (from siptv.app, the player recommended above) and install it.
- 2
Write down the MAC address
The first time it opens, the app shows a MAC address and a web address. Copy the MAC address down precisely: the app uses it to link your playlist to this particular television.
- 3
Link your playlist
Using a phone or a computer, go to the web address the app displayed, type in the MAC address, and paste the M3U link from your credentials email.
- 4
Restart the app
Quit the app on the TV and launch it again. The channel list downloads first, and the programme guide fills in after it; with a large playlist, that first load takes around a minute.
Where most installs go wrong
Entering the MAC address from memory. A single wrong character means the app loads nothing and gives no explanation. Copy it from the screen one character at a time.
Samsung Smart TV questions
- Which Samsung TV models work?
- Samsung Smart TVs that run Tizen. The player in this guide requires Tizen 6.5, so 2022 models and later; Tizen sets from roughly 2016 to 2021 need a different player from the Samsung store, and support can tell you which. Older sets based on Orsay have no suitable app store.
- Why is the app asking for a payment?
- A few Tizen IPTV apps charge a small one-time activation fee that goes to the app’s developer. It has nothing to do with your subscription with us, and we receive none of it.
- Is there a way around the app store?
- Yes. Plug a Fire TV Stick or an Android TV box into the TV and use that guide instead. Many people find it smoother than the television’s built-in apps, and your subscription stays the same.
