IPTV on Android TV and Google TV: how to install Xtreme IPTV

Of every device, this is the simplest: the player is in the Play Store, there is nothing to side-load, and setup takes roughly five minutes.

What you need first

  • Your login details, which we email as soon as the order is confirmed: an M3U link, or a server address plus a username and password.
  • An internet connection on the device you plan to watch on.
  • A measured speed on that device of about 15 Mbps for Full HD, or 25 Mbps for 4K.

Recommended player app

TiviMateby Armobsoft FZE · Google Play

A single listing you can identify, a publisher with a name, a recent update, and a guide built for a d-pad. No other Android TV app matches it on all four counts.

More than 5 million downloads, rated 4.2 stars from about 8,360 ratings, most recently updated 22 June 2026. Last checked 4 October 2026.

Armobsoft FZE, the publisher, has no connection to us. The free version plays streams and shows the guide; multiple playlists and recording need its paid version, which its developer sells — we do not.

None of these apps are ours, and their developers pay us nothing. Your subscription runs in any player that accepts an M3U link or an Xtream Codes login; we suggest this one only because it performs best on this device in our experience.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. 1

    Go to the Play Store

Open the Play Store from the home screen and look up an IPTV player. Unsure which to pick? Support will name the one we see working best on your box.

  2. 2

Install the app and launch it

Once it is installed, open it. On the first screen you will be asked how you want to add your service.

  3. 3

    Sign in with your details

If the app has an Xtream Codes login, use it: enter the server address, the username and the password, each copied exactly from your email. An app that accepts only a playlist takes the M3U link instead — paste that in.

  4. 4

    Wait for the guide

The channel list shows up first, then the programme guide downloads in the background. With a large playlist that first load may take a minute, so let it finish instead of restarting the app.

Where most installs go wrong

Forgetting the port on the server address. It needs to end in a colon and a number. Leave that out and the app shows an empty list without reporting any error.

Android TV and Google TV questions

Which devices does this guide cover?
Android TV and Google TV devices, including Chromecast with Google TV, Nvidia Shield, Xiaomi Mi Box, most Android TV boxes, and TVs with Android TV built in.
My box’s Play Store does not list the app.
In most cases the box is not certified for Google Play; the app itself is still available. Contact support and we will give you a different route for that device.
Can the remote do everything?
Yes. Entering a server address with a d-pad is slow, but you only do it once. Some apps also let you pair a phone and type on that.

Need a hand?

Our team is available at any hour. On the 6-month plan and longer, we go through the installation with you on your own device instead of just sending written steps.
