IPTV on LG Smart TV: how to install Xtreme IPTV

LG televisions use webOS, and the process mirrors Samsung’s: install the app from LG’s store, then register your playlist to the TV.

What you need first

  • Your login details, which we email as soon as the order is confirmed: an M3U link, or a server address plus a username and password.
  • An internet connection on the device you plan to watch on.
  • A measured speed on that device of about 15 Mbps for Full HD, or 25 Mbps for 4K.

It is the app we recommend on Samsung too, for the same reason: it keeps getting updates, which few TV-store IPTV apps still do.

Version 3.1.3, for LG webOS 3.0+ televisions, came out on 15 July 2026. Last checked 4 October 2026.

Its developer charges a small one-time activation fee, which is separate from your subscription.

Step-by-step instructions

    Get the app

    On the television’s home bar, open the LG Content Store, look up an IPTV player and install it.

    Write down the MAC address

    When it first opens, the app displays a MAC address and a web address. Copy the MAC address exactly as it appears.

    Link your playlist

    On a phone or computer, go to that web address, type in the MAC address, and paste the M3U link from your credentials email.

  4. 4

    Restart the app

    Quit the app on the TV and open it again. The channel list arrives first, followed by the programme guide.

Where most installs go wrong

Using the wrong MAC address when you register — a phone’s or a router’s instead of the TV’s. Only the address the app itself showed will work.

Which LG TV models work?
LG Smart TVs with webOS, which includes most models from about 2016 on.
The app tells me my playlist is empty.
Either the M3U link went in with a space or a line break inside it, or it was registered to a different MAC address. Paste it again straight from the email, without changing anything.
Could I use a streaming stick instead?
Yes. Plugging a Fire TV Stick or an Android TV box into the LG works just as well, and setup is often faster. Your subscription covers both routes.
